Unloading Background

"I know I need to stop carrying all of this. But I don't know where to start."

Over 13,000 comments from people who follow our work. One question appeared more than any other, not always in those exact words, but always the same weight: "How do I put it down?"

The Unloading was built to answer that question.

If any of this sounds familiar...

βœ•

You carry things other people don't know about.

βœ•

You are the strong one, which means there's nobody to be strong for you.

βœ•

You have tried to put it into words and couldn't find them.

βœ•

You don't want to burden the people you love.

βœ•

You have been managing. But managing isn't the same as being okay.

The Journey of The Unloading

1

Step 1: The Live Unloading (90 Minutes)

We open the space on Zoom. You are invited to share, in writing, in your own words, in your own time, what you have been carrying. Russell reads the room, finds the threads, and reflects back what he sees.

2

Step 2: The Shared Space (4 Weeks)

After the session, you join a private space with the same group. Russell and Lisa are present throughout, responding, reflecting, holding. This is not a passive follow-up. It is four weeks of being genuinely held and supported.

3

Step 3: The Group Journey Summary

At the close of the four weeks, you receive a document that captures our time together, the themes that emerged and the arc from where we started to where we landed. It's a record of what happens when people who carry things quietly finally feel heard and valued.

4

Step 4: Your Continuing Journey

When the four weeks close, you are welcomed into Here Together, a wider community of people like you (if you are not already a member). The private space closes, and the connection continues.

What happens in the room

Held Space

This is a live, facilitated space designed to offer something many people rarely experience: the opportunity to share something true and be witnessed, alongside others who understand.

There is no expectation to perform, explain, or have the right words. You are invited to arrive exactly as you are.

You'll be invited to write in the chat, in your own time, in your own words. Russell reads what is in the room, finds the patterns, and reflects them back anonymously. Only Russell and Lisa see what you write.

This is not a space for fixing or solving. It is a space for being heard and seen.

Most people leave the room feeling something they didn't expect: lighter.

Why This Works

You Are Not The Only One

Realising for the first time that you are not alone in your distress moves you out of isolation, and that shift alone is profoundly healing.

Shared Weight Gets Lighter

Intense emotions experienced together reinforce bonds, even between strangers. When others truly witness what you carry, you stop carrying it quite so heavily and alone.

Your Brain Needs This

Neuroimaging research shows that sharing emotional experiences buffers the impact of negative feelings and enhances relief. This isn't just comforting, it's biological.

Is this right for you?

What it IS

  • Held by Russell & Lisa
  • The experience of being witnessed
  • The relief of being heard without being fixed

What it IS NOT

  • This is NOT therapy or coaching

  • Not a webinar or masterclass
  • Not individual advice-giving
  • No "magic pills" or 10-step plans

Held by Russell & Lisa

Russell Taylor: I lead each session and remain present throughout the four weeks. I have spent years holding space for people who carry things quietly, in boardrooms, in coaching rooms, and now here. My job is to make the room safe enough that you can say something true, and to make sure you feel heard when you do.

Lisa Taylor: I am in the room holding the space alongside Russell. I welcome you as you arrive, I watch the chat, and I keep the community space warm and alive. My presence ensures no one gets lost. You will feel me there even if we never speak directly.

A Full Month of Being Witnessed

The Unloading doesn't end when the session does. The 90 minutes opens the door, the four weeks is where you walk through it, alongside the same people who were in the room with you and who understand.

4 Weeks of Shared Presence

The private space stays open for four weeks after the session, exclusive to the 25 people who were in the room with you. This isn't for advice or fixing. It's a place to stay connected, to share what you didn't say in the room, and to feel the weight lift a little more.

The Group Journey Summary

At the close of the four weeks, I create a document that captures the arc of our time together. Where we started. What emerged. Where we landed. It honours what happened in the room and gives you something real to carry forward.

A Space for Quiet Presence

We don't use noisy social media groups. We use a private, dedicated platform called Here Together. It is a sanctuary designed for honest sharing and quiet listening.

Questions you might have

What exactly is The Unloading?
The Unloading is four weeks together. It begins with a 90-minute live session on Zoom, continues in a private community space for four weeks, and closes with a group journey summary. It is not a course or a class. It is a container, a held space where something real can happen.
What if I don't know what I want to say?
This is one of the most common feelings people bring. You don't need to arrive with prepared words or a clear sense of what you are carrying. The questions in the session will help you find your way in. Many people discover what they needed to say only after they started writing.
What happens during the live session?
You will be invited to respond to questions by writing in the chat. Russell reads what is shared in real time, noticing patterns and reflecting themes. Lisa holds the space alongside him. This creates a shared experience where individual truths become collective.
Will I have to speak?
No. Most of the sharing happens in the chat. Russell may invite a small number of people to share verbally if it feels helpful, but this is always optional. There is no pressure to speak aloud.
Will what I write be seen?
Yes. The chat is central to the session. Russell reads what is shared in real time. Not every message can be responded to individually, but what you share contributes to the experience and will be held.
What happens after the live session?
You join a private community space with the same group of people. This space stays open for four weeks. Russell is present throughout, responding and reflecting. Lisa is there too, keeping the space warm.
What is the group journey summary?
At the close of the four weeks, Russell creates a document that captures the themes that emerged and the arc of our time together. Everyone receives the same version.
Is this therapy or coaching?
No. This is not therapy, coaching, or a teaching session. The focus is on presence, recognition, and the experience of being seen, alongside others who understand.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. This is a private and contained space. What is shared within the session and the community remains within that space.
