Ritmo360 was born from the frontline, not from theory, but from decades of leading under pressure. From the sound room of a Royal Navy submarine to the boardrooms of global corporates, our founder has led thousands through high-stakes transformations; turning around underperforming operations, realigning fragmented leadership teams, and rebuilding cultures from the inside out.
The one constant in every successful transformation? Exceptional teams. Teams built on deep trust, capability, motivation, and connection, where people work together, hold each other to account, and challenge with curiosity, not judgment.
What Russell learned, whether submerged beneath the North Atlantic or serving on the ExCos of multibillion-pound organisations, was that performance isn’t created by process, structure, or strategy alone, It’s forged through people; through the strength of their relationships, the clarity of their purpose, belief in what they’re doing, and the intent with which they lead and behave.
His leadership foundation was shaped in environments where the stakes were absolute, most notably in the Royal Navy Submarine Service, where he and 120 teammates operated in total isolation for months at a time. Structure and hierarchy were constant, but what truly enabled performance was trust, clarity, and a shared commitment to deliver together, without compromise.
What began in those high-pressure conditions evolved into a leadership philosophy Russell applied at scale, serving on the executive teams of £4.5bn and £12.5bn businesses respectively, where shifting culture, paying attention to behaviours and relationships, and driving high performance were critical to growth, turnaround, and long-term value.
