How Russell works

In service of the person in front of him.

Russell leads with attention. A lifetime of reading people closely means he often senses what a person, or a whole room, is really feeling before it is said, even on a screen, and he knows in the moment when to press gently and when to wait. He prepares exhaustively, then sets all of it aside to be fully present in the room. He is not running a process and he is not there to prove anything, he is simply, completely, in service of the person in front of him. It is why someone can sit down with him, often a stranger, and within an hour say something they have never been able to say to anyone, and begin to see themselves clearly again. It will not be for everyone, and that is alright. It is for the people who feel it.

"
Russell, I trusted you because your energy created a space where honesty felt effortless. You have a rare way of listening that invites people back to themselves. Some people create space; others are the space. You are the latter.
A Global VP in Consumer Health

"Life changes us, sometimes gently and sometimes all at once, and in the middle of it we can lose sight of who we are. A role ends, a person goes, a title is taken away or a new one arrives before we feel ready to wear it, and slowly, without ever deciding to, we become a stranger to our own life. Our work is to help people find their way back to themselves."

People arrive having tried a great deal, and leave having said things out loud they had never found words for, seeing themselves clearly again, and moving with more energy, more belief and more clarity than they walked in with.
