For leaders, teams, and organisations

Leaders, Teams
& Advisory.

You are responsible for a team, a board, or an organisation, and you want the people in it becoming as good as they are truly capable of — which is often more than they know. Let’s find what your team is truly capable of, and unlock it together.

Begin an Enquiry

It is the work of leaders in transition, teams carrying more than they can hold, and the person at the top who steadies everyone else, has nowhere to set it down, and no one they can be truly honest with in complete confidence.

Underneath the work sit the six Rhythm Elements: Connection, Belief, Energy, Cadence, Clarity and Trust. Each has decades of research behind it. What is rare is bringing them together as one living system, and that is what the work does. The elements are named here; they come alive in the conversation.

Russell has spent 42 years in and around leadership, from nuclear submarines to boardrooms. Thirty of those years in senior corporate leadership, as an executive on the leadership teams of businesses worth 4.5 and 12 billion pounds, and fifteen years as an independent leadership consultant and adviser, thirteen of them to Bain and Company, one of the most respected consulting firms in the world.

The work, described plainly.

These can be engaged as individual strands, or as an integrated programme. The approach is always the same: exhaustive preparation, complete presence, and no agenda but yours.

Leadership Coaching

One to one with a leader or executive

Working closely with a single leader or executive, often at a point of change or real pressure, on the kind of thinking that is hard to do alone. Complete confidence, no agenda but theirs, and someone alongside them who has sat where they sit — at the top of large organisations, in transition, carrying it privately.

Leadership Teams

Helping a team become more than they realised they could be

Some teams are already good and don’t yet know how good they could be. The work is unlocking the capability that is there but going unused, and helping people work together in a way that lets each of them do their best thinking.

Culture

The felt experience of what it is actually like to work there

Working alongside leaders on the culture of a team or an organisation — the felt experience of what it is actually like to work there — and facilitating the honest conversations that shift it.

Strategy

Think clearly together and leave genuinely aligned

Facilitating strategy sessions and leadership days, so a team can step back, think clearly together, and leave genuinely aligned rather than with a document nobody opens again.

Advisory

Someone senior to think with — at the top

Beyond any single piece of work, an ongoing advisory relationship: someone senior to think with, drawing on decades of building, transformation, and advising at the top. Russell has been that person for some of the world’s most respected organisations. He can be that person for yours.

Team & Corporate Advisory
In the course of a single morning we were closer, more open and driven as a team than I can imagine we would have achieved over twelve months following the status quo. The operating rhythm of the team, the strength of the relationships and our effectiveness has changed tangibly.

Your incredible strategic ability combined with an even stronger drive to succeed is an incredibly powerful combination — but your greatest asset is your relentless energy to invest in people: their wellbeing, their development and ultimately their potential.
